How many suitcases can be loaded?
Here are the maximum number of suitcases that can be loaded into each vehicle type. The numbers are subject to change depending on the dimensions of the suitcases.
There is a possibility that the trunk will not have enough room for the same number of suitcases as the number of passengers. In such a case, we recommend you consider one of the following options.
Option 1: Charter one more car and use it to transport luggage.
Option 2: Have your luggage collected from the initial pick-up point (airport, hotel, etc.) and transported to the final destination by your chartered car; have your car return to the pick-up point and start your sightseeing tour. It is prohibited to have the luggage alone transported in a chartered vehicle, and at least one person from your party must ride in the car together with the luggage. (This option won’t work if the initial pick-up point and the final destination are located far apart from each other.)
Vehicle type and seating/luggage capacity
Standard/Upgrade sedan
Seating capacity: 3-4 passengers
Luggage capacity: 2 small suitcases or 1 large suitcase in the truck space
Although a sedan-type car can safely carry up to four passengers, we recommend only three passengers to ensure maximum comfort. If your party has four passengers, one will ride in the front seat and the three in the rear.
Alphard
Seating capacity: 5 passengers
Luggage capacity: 4 small suitcases or 2-3 large suitcases
A total of 3-4 large suitcases may be carried in the car if you utilize the legroom.
Lincoln Town Car
Seating capacity: 3-4 passengers
Luggage capacity: 3-4 small suitcases or 2 large suitcases
A total of three large suitcases may be carried in the car if you utilize the legroom.
Jumbo van
Seating capacity: 9 passengers
Luggage capacity: 5-7 small suitcases or 3-4 large suitcases
A total of 6-7 large suitcases may be carried in the car if you utilize the legroom.

Who books dinner cruises?
A. Most of our guests book dinner cruises to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays or anniversaries.
Many have chosen this activity to set the stage for marriage proposals. Island Life Concierge is always happy to assist in making such occasions memorable by arranging with the crew to fulfill special requests.
What are the dinner cruises like?
A. Our dinner cruises are 1 hour and 45 minutes on a gentle sea with a choice of dinner courses against a backdrop of either a beautiful tropical sunset or romantic city lights.
Where do I meet my driver?
A. Your driver will be waiting at the meeting point specified on your reservation itinerary with a sign bearing your name. At the airport, your driver and vehicle are just outside the arrival lobby exit. If your meeting point is a hotel, please wait in the lobby area.
What’s included in a charter price?
Charter prices include the cost of vehicle, driver, fuel and tax.
Highway tolls, parking fees, admission to tourist facilities and all other expenses that may occur during the charter service must be paid by the client on the spot. Please make sure you have some yen cash on hand on the day of service. (Parking is free at most tourist facilities and sightseeing destinations in Okinawa.)
What is the minimum length for a charter?
Charter services are available for a minimum of four hours. Simple one-way transfers from one point to the other (airport-hotel, hotel to hotel, etc.) are available, and the rates are determined by the destination. No minimum charter length applies to the one-way transfers.
Can I extend my charter on the day?
- Yes, you can extend your charter on the same day, but only if your driver and vehicle are not reserved for other services. Any extra fees for additional hours must be paid directly to the driver in cash with Japanese yen. Because extension may not be possible on the day, you're strongly recommended to book enough hours to complete your itinerary in advance, which is also more cost efficient.
What is the difference between a sightseeing taxi and custom vehicle charter?
A. Both are time-based charters. You can request an English, Mandarin or Cantonese-speaking driver for your sightseeing taxi (subject to availability). Although the custom vehicle charter service is available with Japanese-speaking drivers only, it offers more luxury vehicle options than the sightseeing taxi.
Sightseeing taxis
This is a time-based charter service. One great feature about our sightseeing taxi service is that once the reservation has been made, the itinerary is flexible and changes can be made even on the date of service. Sightseeing taxis have the added advantage of English, Mandarin or Cantonese-speaking drivers, subject to availability. There are a limited number of English and Chinese-speaking drivers available; thus, you are strongly encouraged to make a reservation as far in advance as possible, especially if your request is for a Cantonese-speaking driver.
Vehicle type and capacity: Standard taxi, 4 passengers
Custom vehicle charters
This also is a time-based charter service. Custom vehicle charters are available with Japanese-speaking drivers only. Vehicles are equipped with Wi-Fi, and language assistance may be provided by Island Life Concierge via mobile phone, email, the Line application or instant messaging.
Vehicle type and seating capacity:
Standard sedan, 3-4 passengers
Upgrade sedan, 3-4 passengers
Luxury Alphard, 5 passengers
Lincoln Town Car, 3-4 passengers
Jumbo van, 9 passengers
Bus charters
Flat-rate charters of 10-seater or larger buses are not available, so a full detailed itinerary (length of charter service, places to visit, preferred route, etc.) must be provided before a quote can be given. Any changes to the itinerary on the day of service will incur additional charges.
